Welcome to Service Hub (“Service Hub”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of service-hub.co.za and any services, tools, or features offered by us (“Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.


1. About Service Hub

Service Hub is a South African service‑listing marketplace designed to connect skilled individuals, informal workers, freelancers, and small businesses with customers seeking services.

We aim to:

  • Promote employment & entrepreneurship
  • Increase visibility for local service providers
  • Empower underserved workers & communities

Service Hub does not employ service providers nor guarantee the quality of services provided.


2. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Provide true and accurate information
  • Have legal capacity to enter into agreements
  • Comply with all South African laws

If registering on behalf of a business, you confirm authority to bind the entity.


3. Account Registration

You may need an account to access features such as listing services.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your login secure
  • Take responsibility for all activity on your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or rule violations.


4. Identity Verification & Fraud Prevention

To protect users and maintain platform integrity, we conduct identity verification and security checks.

By registering or applying to be a vendor, you consent to:

  • Identity and background verification
  • Use of third‑party tools such as VerifyID
  • Secure sharing of information required for verification (e.g., ID number, names, contact details)

We may deny, suspend, or remove accounts that fail verification or provide false information.


5. Role of Service Hub

Service Hub acts solely as a marketplace platform. We do not:

  • Guarantee users or service outcomes
  • Employ or manage service providers
  • Control pricing or availability
  • Intervene in disputes (except at our discretion)
  • Provide insurance or service warranties

Agreements are strictly between service providers and customers.


6. User Responsibilities

Customers

You agree to:

  • Conduct your own due diligence
  • Communicate clearly with providers
  • Pay providers directly unless otherwise stated

Service Providers

You agree to:

  • Accurately represent your services and experience
  • Comply with all legal and professional standards
  • Deliver agreed services professionally
  • Not mislead users or post fraudulent information

7. Payments

Unless otherwise stated, payments occur directly between customers and service providers.

Service Hub is not responsible for:

  • Payment disputes
  • Fraudulent transactions
  • Non‑payment
  • Refunds or compensation between parties

Some platform features may require subscription or listing fees. These will be disclosed before purchase.


8. Reviews & Feedback

Users may leave reviews based on genuine experiences. Fake, defamatory, incentivized, or malicious reviews are prohibited.

We may remove reviews that:

  • Are fraudulent or abusive
  • Contain personal contact info
  • Violate platform rules

9. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Post illegal, harmful, or misleading content
  • Impersonate others or submit false info
  • Spam, scam, or harass users
  • Bypass verification processes
  • Upload viruses or attempt to hack systems

10. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and platform technology belong to Service Hub or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.


11. Data Protection & Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and POPIA.

By using the Platform, you consent to:

  • Processing of your data for platform functionality
  • Identity verification where applicable

12. Liability Disclaimer

Service Hub provides the Platform “as‑is” and does not guarantee:

  • Service quality or outcomes
  • Availability or uptime
  • Accuracy of user content

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss, damage, fraud, or disputes between users
  • Injuries, property damage, or professional failures
  • Loss of income or business resulting from platform use

Use the Platform at your own risk.


13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Service Hub harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your interactions with other users
  • Your breach of these Terms

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations, fraud concerns, or misuse.

Users may close accounts at any time.


15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by South African law. Disputes fall under South African courts.
